Further, in order to determine the suitability of the exam room for the number of candidates anticipated and the maximum number of candidates the room could accommodate, the following information must be provided:
Software Certifications requires 8 feet per 2 candidates with all candidates facing forward. Candidates cannot sit facing each other across common workspace. If the tables are less than 8 feet long, only 1 candidate may sit per table.
Sites selected by host organizations in the United States must also be compliant with the Software Certification policies regarding the Americans With Disabilities Act. Host organizations outside the United States are encouraged to provide a similar level of service and access to the disabled.
Once the site is registered and the capacity of the exam room is determined, the Exam Site Registration form does not have to be submitted again for that room and location.
Proctor Agreements
A Proctor Agreement is required to be on file with Software Certifications before any one can proctor an examination. A new Proctor Agreement must be submitted
each year even if you have proctored before and have one on file. A minimum of 3 proctors (2 primary proctors and 1 alternate proctor) must be assigned to each exam room. The first and second proctors must attend the exam. The alternate proctor is on call in case the first or second proctor cannot attend the exam. As the number of candidates are increased the required number of proctors, primary and alternate may be increased. The first proctor will receive the exam materials and is responsible for managing the examination process, including following the current Examination Administration Guide. The assigned proctors for one exam room must each work for different companies. If a proctor is unemployed or retired, he/she must check the appropriate place on the proctor agreement.
Scheduling An Exam Date
The available examination dates follow:
| Examination Date | Hosting Paperwork Deadline | Candidate Application Deadline |
| June 21, 2008 | March 15, 2008 | April 21, 2008 |
Choose an exam date from the left hand column of the above table. The center column is the final date hosting paperwork will be accepted to schedule an exam. The right column is the last date a candidate can turn in a complete application to sit for the exam. So, the sooner the hosting paperwork to schedule an exam is submitted to Software Certifications, the sooner candidates will be able to view the exam on the website and register. Don't wait until the deadline to submit your hosting paperwork. By the time it is reviewed and approved there may be only 3-4 weeks for candidates to view the exam on the website and apply.
Administering An Examination
