Exams are now being offered either through a Prometric Testing Center (online exam) or a Sponsored Site (paper-based exam). The location where you plan to take your exam will determine whether you take it at a Prometric Testing Center or Sponsored Site. See below for more information.

Prometric Testing Center

Prometric Testing Center's are available worldwide*. By selecting Prometric as your exam option you will be assigned an Edibility ID which is extremely important as it is needed to schedule your exam with Prometric. The process to transfer enrollment and ID information to Prometric can take up to 3 days. Once completed, your ID will appear on your My Examination page at which time you can schedule your exam.

* Warning: This option is NOT available to candidates wanting to take their exam in one of the following locations - India, Brazil, China, or Sri Lanka (see Sponsored Sites).

When you are scheduling an examination on the Prometric web site, your Appointment Duration will be displayed as 5+ hours. This includes the time needed for seating, instructions, and final reporting. The actual time spent answering examination questions will be 4 hours.

Find Prometric testing center locations near you.

Sponsored Sites

Sponsored Exams are ONLY offered in India, Brazil, China, and Sri Lanka. By selecting the Sponsored Site as your exam option you will be directed to a new page where you would select the location / exam date you wish to attend. You must schedule your examination at least 60 days before the selected examination date in order to reserve a seat which are limited based on availability. To view the list of currently scheduled Sponsored Exams, Click Here.

Note: Only a limited number of seats are available at each exam location. All locations work under a first come first serve basis. The earlier you apply, the better chances of reserving a seat. The examination schedule changes on a weekly basis, so check back for any changes.

Examination Day

Candidates should plan to arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in procedures. If you are late in arriving, you will not be allowed to test and will be required to reschedule for a later examination date and pay a rescheduling fee. Candidates will be required to present one valid, government-issued photo ID with a signature (e.g., driver's license or passport). If you are testing outside of your country of citizenship, you must present a valid passport. If you are testing within your country of citizenship, you must present either a valid passport, driver's license, national ID or military ID. The identification document must be in Latin characters and contain your photograph and signature. For those candidates attending a Sponsored Exam, they will need to also bring their confirmation email. The examinations require approximately 4 1/2 hours. Plan your schedule accordingly.
